A low-noise mini-triode vacuum tube is used in the design as part of the digital clock, making this design truly innovative in enhancing clarity and reproducing every detail from bottom to top. 

The solid state oscillators which are normally used in cheaper DACs can add jitter and noise to the signal, and the effect cannot be reversed. Achieving low noise levels in the 10Hz-100kHz sidebands of the oscillator is crucial to accurate reproduction of the source.
